Dear friends,
As we begin August, we have some news to share with the Valiant Scribe community.
An Important Announcement
After much prayer and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to conclude Valiant Scribe's publishing journey on 31 August 2026.
Founded in December 2019, the journal was established to explore the intersection of the Christian faith and social issues through literature and the arts. Since then, we have been privileged to publish writers and artists from around the world, reach readers in 129 countries, support educational scholarships, initiatives for vulnerable children and build a community centred on truth, compassion, and the human experience.
Our final publication will appear on 28 August 2026.
Following the closure of the journal, the Valiant Scribe website will be archived. While the website may remain accessible past November, it will no longer be updated with new content.
Our YouTube channel and social media pages will remain online as an archive of our work, although no new content will be published.
To every writer, artist, reader, volunteer, donor, and supporter who has walked alongside us over the years—thank you. It has been a privilege to share this journey with you.
Submissions
As we prepare to close the journal, our submissions process has now concluded.
If you submitted work to Valiant Scribe and have not already received a publication offer from us, please consider your submission unsuccessful.
We are sincerely grateful to every writer who entrusted us with their work. While we could not publish every submission, we appreciate the creativity, vulnerability, and care that went into each piece.
To all of our published contributors, we encourage you to download or print copies of your published work for your personal records before the website shuts down in October. You can find your published work under our Collections page:

Resources for Writers
This month we'd like to recommend a trusted editorial resource for writers seeking thoughtful manuscript feedback.
Majek Tife — Beta Reader & Editor
Majek Tife is a professional beta reader and editor who provides thoughtful, reader-focused feedback to authors across a wide range of genres, including literary fiction, fantasy, romance, mystery, thriller, young adult, memoir, poetry, and nonfiction.
Rather than focusing solely on technical issues, her approach considers character development, pacing, dialogue, emotional impact, narrative structure, and overall reader engagement, helping writers identify strengths, strengthen weaker areas, and remain true to their creative vision.
